Kirtling

Sharp:

A sad story came to light of brothers named Solomon and Joseph Sharp, the sons of Joseph and Mary (nee Pledger).  Scarletina hit the parish in January to February 1856 resulting in the following deaths:

The Children of Joseph and Maria who died:

Mary, aged 13

James, aged 9

Maria, aged 7

Joseph, aged 6

Phoebe, aged 3

Henry, aged 2


The Children of Solomon and Mary who died:

Uriah, aged 17

Keziah, aged 15

Zechariah, aged 10

Zedekiah, aged 7

Their only known other son, Zephaniah, died in 1852, leaving only one surviving child, Delilah.
